Tina, I do have the current Summilux 50 ASPH (or I will when I get it back
again since I dropped it and the camera). I like it a great deal and prefer
the modern design. However the previous models are certainly capable of
course. Lluis for example is a fine practitioner with his.
Advantages of the newer design are higher contrast and resolution wide open
in theory, better correction and especially no focus shift problems in use.
LiveView is a great testing tool on your new M to see exactly what your
lenses actually deliver to the sensor .

Due to the ASPH versions construction/design it is likely that any needed
adjustment/calibration means a tear down and rebuild back at Solms. Well,
Wetzlar next year.

Cheers
Geoff
