I'm learning technical basics for the genre here and from an extremely
experienced and successful teacher (and the models of course). These
workshops provide unique opportunities for me to practice.

I did find a neatly fitting web definition of paradigm for you though ;-)
"a typical example or pattern of something; a pattern or model."

A model model!
