The shutter issue is probably a compatibility issue with the DMR, and the early R8. Mine had this same issue and was fixed by Leica NJ for free as a warranty adjustment, even though neither were in warranty. Once they were calibrated together everything worked just fine. The exposure reading is way out, about 3 stops over, waiting for a test film to come back. Tried it with various lenses both 3-cam and ROM. Batteries seems to have decent charge but neither DMR release fires the shutter and the shutter is not re-cocked - have to do the latter by hand. Are these incompatibilities or is something broken?
