I'm happy with exactly how my M (typ 240) works in that respect. I never
accidentally cropped or missed framing anything in my first 2000 or so
frames. If I needed pixel perfect framing for some reason, I have the
LiveView option of course.  The illuminated frame-lines (I prefer the
white) are very good. I really like the optimisation at 2m too.
