Subject: [Leica] Vandenberg Launch - Dec. 5, 2013

I thought you might enjoy seeing a photo I took last night of an Atlas V
launch from Vandenberg (11:13 pm launch time).

I have put it on my web page at http://www.paulroark.com/

It was taken from my back yard in Solvang, CA with a Zeiss 21mm Biogon wide
open, iso 160 with the M9. I had the camera on a cable release (as well as
a tripod, or course) and started the exposure when I saw the rocket come
into the scene. I ended the exposure when the discomfort of freezing
outweighed seeing the tiny dot disappear completely. (That is, I cut off
before it did.)
