Absolutely!!!

And since the sensor is only smaller, not different, from the MM, which also
has no IR filter, it explains why the MM is good too...

Just saw a M8 sell for $1100+......

Don't forget that your M8 without the IR cut-off filter and with an IR
filter 'tis one of the best IR off-the-shelf digital cameras available.
