Subject: [Leica] Hip replacement

To all of you who send me a 'get well" note.

Thank You for your recent words of encouragement.

Other than being unable to sit down for more than several minutes at a 
time, all is well and my doctor finally took me off of the opium based 
drugs and put me back onto Aleve... which is my preference.

He also took my xray and said that everything looks okay and as an 
aside, said that I look great, and I told him that's what my ten Irish 
aunts & uncles used to say about whomever was in the box at the last wake.

I have another appointment with him on the 28th, at which time I hope 
that he gives me the okay to drive.  I'll need that to get to the REAL 
physical therapy sessions in April... I think that's when I think they 
twist you up like a pretzel to stretch out the new muscles.
