We try it but in the end we really end up wanting to stay closer to what we shot in the first place. Why buy a panoramic camera why not just crop? Its just hard to do that's all I cant think of an example of anybodies pulled it off. But that's mainly film. It may be easier in digital. My default crop has gotten to be my new favorte format. 1 over 2. So my crop is 600 by 1200 pixels. And I do a lot of 742 x 1200 pixel crops instead of the plain vanilla 800 x 1200 as its the golden rectangle ( of Sangria). And just a tad nicely skinnier. And I do a hell of a lot of square crops in the past two years. I have a folder full of them. Instagram of which i do not subscribe has gotten that format in the imagination of the general public or visa versa. 980 x 980 pixels for me which is about the same acreage as 800 x 1200. I have a ton of those now. So that's how I do it and what I'm up to. The next time I shoot film it will be with my Rolleiflex 2.8f. I'll shoot iso color neg film in 120 as 220 I think is no more.
