What is it with you LUG people? Most of you have never had a single photograph published in a hard cover book in your lives!! Nor any place else.. Never enjoyed the wonderful thrill at the fist glance of your photograph printed in a book! Ok, yes a few of you have in our LUG YEAR BOOKS of the past! Even that isn't an excuse for not sending your photos right now! YES I MEAN THE NEXT MINUTE BEFORE YOU TAKE YOUR NEXT BREATHE! But the rest of you with absolutely no concept of what a great thrill and burst of such wonderful feelings in your GUT when you open to your pages! IT'S PURE MAGIC!! After all my years of published works I still get a burst of excitement when anything of mine is published. Your credit-line with the photo! Dang it feels so cool! Neat, Book or pamphlet. Newspaper, wherever! And in particular our LUG book each year. It costs nothing to submit, nobody is picked as a winner or loser! The book is "OUR HOME ONCE A YEAR HOUSING THE PHOTOGRAPHY OF A PRETTY COOL BUNCH OF LUG SHOOTERS!" Think about this for a few seconds as you don't have any longer than that, unless you've sent your two photos to Geoff. While your sitting there babbling to each other about all these new dumb ass cameras and gadgets that supposedly will make "better photos?" A TERRIBLE WASTE OF TIME RIGHT NOW! Unless you've sent your two photos. Besides you know it's you, the person holding and operating the machine captures the image you who have not submitted your pictures yet! You should bloody well be ashamed of yourselves for not getting them sent as soon as you finish my "HEART SCREAMING DIATRIBE" to get on with it! For those of you not brilliant enough to understand this? SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT! Without a sufficient number of entries?? THERE WONT BE a BOOK!! That's right and because those of you diddling along not sending entries right away! YOUR THE DUMB ASSES WHO ARE GOING TO SCREW-UP THIS YEARLY PROJECT! THAT'S RIGHT!!!! NO BOOK! THERE'S NOTHING, CERTAINLY WONT BE A BOOK FOR SALE............ WE, THE "LUG CREW" WILL NOT HAVE RAISED ANY FUNDS TO DONATE TO THE CAUSE.!! Nor are we going to have a collection of neat images of 2014 by the "coolest bunch of folks on the INTERNET! Now a burst of submissions to Geoff! Get on with it right this next second!
