Leon,

The Mediterranean coast can get serious amount of rain even normally where
the storm sewers overflows. Happened to me while cycling along coast near
Nice. The current flood is a bit unusual though.

We just finished cycling in the Languedoc area north of Toulouse and flying
back to Canada. We experienced cold rain and just missed the hail around
Villefranche. First time we?ve seen hail in southern France in about 10
trips. Not the first time we got rained on though.

In other word, bring some rain wear and a warm jacket but I wouldn?t worry
about it too much. If you have an iPhone, the French meteorology service has
an app called ?Meteo France? which will provide weather forecast for even
the smallest towns.

Regards,
Spencer
