I'll second that on my Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPH. But had this and other
Elmarits been discontinued in favor of a metal munching Summilux? I think
so. So I'm glad Leica is back in the business of making glass for people who
are not billionaires. And which both don't cost and weigh an arm and a leg.
A 28 2.8 is nice and compact and its not like you're going to have trouble
focusing on a dark groundglass on an image that does not appear to be
snapping in and out. The Leica focusing mechanism is very many times more
accurate than a groundglass with wides.
And at ISO 6400 and up we are just fine with f2.8
