I definitely do not want to quarrel with my dearest Uncle doc Ted OC, 
unlimited ;-)

I think I wrote "Works without a tripod too" :-)

What I meant was that as the placement of the players is (so) highly 
predictable you can focus on the guy, and just wait for the ball ? as fast 
as it is

And to be honest, I never considered baseball to be highly mobile, but it 
must be me getting bored when I tried to watch a game :-( Sorry. 
Speak of fencing, table tennis, etc, yes!  
Other (larger) ball  games are not I'm my humble and limited experience.

Hope you're doing fine far from the floods in France these days.
