John.. that is a good idea... I think I shall register all my lenses and
cameras.... maybe next time I will get better service.....

Of course, this is in NJ, while your repairs were all done in Germany......

I suspect that it is more than an hour or two's work plus there is probably
quite a backlog.... I regard it as a free CLA and calibration since they
have to dismantle the whole camera effectively.

All my Leica kit is registered on
http://en.members-2014.leica-camera.com/Members-Area When I first sent an
item in France they must have looked at what I own (via serial number) as my
logon changed from just a name to my French email with a different password,
not sure if that has any effect on priority.

it is terrific that you and Tina receive such good service. The fact that
the rest of us do not is beyond intolerable and it is unacceptable. One
might ask, why 8 weeks for a job that perhaps takes an hour or two? Really I
don?t get it, except most of the time involved is not work time. My first
sensor replacement in Germany took months until a friend I spoke with
requested action, then it took a week. I just sent my M9 to NJ for the same
job.
