My iDevices show up in LR on import, up at the top under devices. You can
the add/copy etc. If on later LRs, you can shoot the image with the LR app
and it will auto-import to a logged in LR at home.... Neither of these may
end up on your external drive but just move them after.....

After I have been shooting with a camera I put the SD card into the card
reader on my computer and copy the image files to a directory on an external
hard drive. I then open LR and import the images into my catalog.

Now when I shoot a photo on my iPhone I can open and manipulate the image in
the LR app on the iPhone but how do I move it to my image file directory on
my external hard drive? I can email it to myself from the iPhone and then
go through a series of steps to save it to the external hard drive but that
seems rather more complicated than it should be.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks,

--Bob
