I thought the 65mm needed a Visoflex to work? Also only a portrait lens on 
an M8... Don't forget the UV/IR filters if shooting in colour

I second Jayanand?s suggestion, and also John?s of getting her a 35mm 
Voigtlander lens for the M8 if you prefer to steer her the Leica way. I 
think the 65mm Elmar by itself would not be that useful, whereas a 35mm (or 
a 28mm) would work much better on the M8 as an all-around lens.
