Tina is probably on the best track if it needs a "field repair".
But to add to the battery contacts. Also clean out ( off?) the camera's
internal contacts for the battery .
Use a pink pencil eraser.....  Just enough abrasion to clean any schmutz
from the contacts.  Blow it off when you have cleaned them.

Your other choice is not as convenient... Leica Repair.......
