While checking out foldies, have a look at the much lighter makes. I have a 
Dahon which is 8.3kg and that lightness actually made me decide against the 
Brompton. There is now a Brompton look alike, made by MIT, which is better 
constructed marketed at half the price. This one is giving the Bromptons a 
run for their money.
