Dan,

I had two M with 0.85x (an M6 TTL and a MP), yes it is great and if you have 
the Leica focusing magnifier 1.25x you get a magnification bigger that the 
one with an M3, the full viewfinder window is dedicated to the the 50mm, it 
is great!
