Quite frankly, Frank, despite suffering from uncontrollable lust for 
many things, I do not lust for a Thambar.

Having looked at the sample photos provided by this site 
https://www.shutterbug.com/content/leitz-thambar-90mm-f22brwhy-it-considered-legendary-portrait-lens
 
I reckon the same effect could be achieved with almost any lens by a 
small smear of vaseline.
