Thanks, Douglas.  The oxen are used to push the boats out over the sand and
beyond the surf where the people can then take over and continue pushing
until they are launched.  It's truly a whole community that launches the
boats, waits around for them to return, sorts and sells the fish.  It can't
possibly be economically sustainable so the traditions have probably given
way to automation of some kind.
