"Capturing the best image possible in B&W regardless of conditions." Be it whatever film or ASA. As we have shot with such a variation of ASA's & films, the end result acceptance by the photo editor or reproduction or ourselves? Each in his or her results obviously have sounded OK in filling the assignment requirement. Regardless if some of the combinations sound "quality freaky?" I think what's important? We have learned variations from each other what some day may save our butt-ends on a tough lighting situation knowing the combination you originally thought would produce a crappy print? Actually it looks pretty good after all! I love 1600. But, each of you are talking about practicality. My point was look. What does the image look like based on the film shot? Sure, Tri-X or T-Max 3200 for that matter (I shot a ton of that) fixes a problem we?ve all experienced. The practicality wasn?t my point, though. I like the Plus-X look better than Tri-X. That?s me.
