It was a very small town of just over 1000 in the middle of wheat country, and it really brought out the best in people. Able bodies willing to help those less able, feed and house the stranded motorists and greyhound bus people, and give moral support.? People behaving like they should every day.? Actually, the town was like that even without the ash, but more so in those weeks following.
