For aerospace should have included dassault for its software CATIA with which all boeings since the 767 have been designed. As a matter of fact when the first triple was rolled out the engineering cry was catia. Could go on with a list of ships in this silly discussion. An objective way might be to compare patent grants. Think you,d find Switserland to excell there. Also research has little to do with final manufacturing. Take windows and apple based computing for instance.
