I archive to hard drive at this point. You get too many CDs and I
worry about the lasting of DVD-R.

But I take  your point although I'd point out that CD is a still
current technology perhaps 1 generation removed.

High bit-densities require good data-storage with check-sums etc to
help recover data from media errors.
