For quickly putting in the trunk of a car the Brompton it the way to go, 
or maybe the Bike Friday Tikit (made in OR). The Tikit comes in various 
sizes so night be better if you are of an un-average size. Like John 
said the Moultons compete more with conventional racing and touring bikes.
 
A Corvette? No wonder you don't like Priusses.  :)
