I have a feeling that the timing of my M8 failing occurred during the
peak of M8 failures. It had to be disconcerting to have the switchboard
lighting up with buyers complaining about their $5K camera going belly
up with "Shutter Fault" showing up on the LCD. What annoyed me is that
this forum and others were replete with "Shutter Fault" reports, but
Leica acted like mine was the first and only one to do that. And they
seemed totally disinterested, except for the president.
