Roger it's easy to test for yourself. With both compressed and uncompressed
DNG the buffer is full and camera slows after 7 frames on continuous.
Although it has two of the single processor of the M8 the amount of data is
much larger. It is not just the processing but the data transfer from
buffer to card. Other factors limiting the M9's responsiveness there
include what shutter speed you are using and whether you have auto review.
There's a hard limit of ~2fps anyway.

Compared to the pro Nikons and Canons, different strengths, characteristics
and weaknesses with different systems of course as I'm sure you appreciate.
