I am just now back from a PhaseOne meeting party presentation thing with one of my favorite photogs Albert Watson I got to see and there was a guy using of of their PhaseOne camera with JSK Schneider lens to photograph the event in quite low light. I was watching him and not the big screen in front of the audience. The head of PhaseOne spoke, a guy from Denmark and so did Watson...I presume. Who by the way is from Scotland. I would think it was the new PhaseOne back with the CMOS sensor on it for this guy to be shooting the way the event shooter was shooting. It was slide show real dim light.. http://www.phaseone.com/Camera-Systems/IQ2-Series.aspx I hate to bring it up but the last two times I saw a presentation involving our beloved Leica savior and reinventor and re imaginer Dr. Andreas Kaufmann they had hired a guy to shoot the thing with an Olympus. But a few years have gone by and the M has come out and I'm betting that slight PR glitch has been remedied to the utmost. With resulting better results. My main point in this post is the new CMOS body for the S system feels very real and Imminent. My Rabs sense tells me we'll be seeing it real soon and the next Leica presentation they will have the option of using the M or the S. Certainly not the T for Pete's sake. And not some other company camera. Can you image a Canon meeting being covered with a hired guy shooting it with a Nikon? After fives seconds I can see him being led out of there with a bag over his head... They'd put in car and take him for a long ride on a short pier.
