Curious about Jack's flame over First Class, I asked a friend who knows
better than I about the problem assigned to First Class. Here was his
response:

----forward----

The problem IS NOT with FirstClass it is with a poorly implemented third
part gateway for it. FirstClass does work well with newsgroups using a more
stable gateway. FirstClass servers run under MacOS and Windows NT while the
client software runs under MacOS and Windows 3.11(since 1991!) and Win95.
It is unfortunate that some people submit mis-informed views of the
product. First Class is the fourth largest E-mail package in the world with
more than 4 million installed users.

----end of forward---

Cheers, Blair
