Marc,
Thanks for your advice. I have ordered the Canon rangefinder book. The
camera is a brick but looks and feels new. A very inexpensive way to use the
screw series lenses.

Do you know anything about the F/1.4 Canon lens. It only says Canon Lens,
Canon Camera Company. I I didn't know (or guess) better I should take it for
a Nikor lens of the same period. Same chrome and black scalloped focusing
ring and positive click stops. Is it a Leica clone or copy, Nikor, or
independent design. Other Canon lenses are "Serenars" or seem to be named.
I have a 127mm E.Leitz, New York, that I inherited along with a IIIC from
my father. It is, of course a Wollensak. In the late fifties in the USA I
had a Busch Pressman D (fine 4X5 in diecast alloy, swings, tilts, revolving
back and double extension bellows - wish I still had it ) I seem to
remember that this had a 127 Wollensak in a synchro leaf shutter. Same lens
in a Leica mount, or no relation?

Doug
