There has been some discussion about Modern Photography, as well as the
Super Angulon. Here is some nostalgy. Modern wrote in 1974 about the Supe=
r
Angulon:

"...They=B4ve outdone themselves with this 21mm f/3.4 optic...represents =
the
joint effort of E. Leitz and Joseph Schneider & Co. Hence, Leitz
Super-Angulon. The lens we tested produced excellent evenness of
illumination from corner to corner. One glance at MODERN=B4s lens test of
this opic will propably evoke the same grasp of disbelief you gave when
reading the price. It=B4s true. You do get what you pay for. This is
undoubtedly a superb lens.

                         Center Edge
Aperture Sharpness Sharpness
3,4 Excellent Excellent
4 Excellent Excellent
5,6 Excellent Excellent
8 Excellent Excellent
11 Excellent Excellent
16 Excellent Excellent
22 Very Good Excellent

- -What about the price, then? Well, it was $477... But it is still in 1996=
 a
"superb lens", and I am using my third!
