I don't know the minimum EV for these meters.  In my experience they give
me accurate readings in low lighting situations like an interior room at
night. Although I don't think or work in EV terms my guess is that they
would approach an EV of about 1 pretty well. I like them because of size
and weight, sense of quality and "classic-ness", quick readings...easy to
read and adjust, and pretty inexpensive.  Nowell
