I shot with 35mm as my 'normal' for a long time, interchanged that with
85mm and 20mm. I gravitate back towards the 50mm lens, but still find it
just a bit long for a lot of stuff. All depends upon my mood. One of the
reasons I enjoy using my Rollei 35s so much is that I find the 40mm lens
very natural for much of the photography I like.

I bought the Contax TVS whose VarioSonnar covers my usual range well,
28-56mm zoom. I find that I have it set at 40-45mm focal length a lot of
the time, quite without thinking about it.
