You would think there was enough experience between Nikon, Canon, Leica,
Minolta, etc. to figure out a motor--it is certainly the lowest
technology of all.>>>>

Hi Donal,

Well I finally had to give up holding my breath as I figure they'll arrive as
part of the second coming sometime in the future, meanwhile I'm slowly being
retrained to advance the film after each exposure. :)

Sandy keeps reminding me when she sees that I haven't done it! :)

It really is hard to understand what can be so difficult when they have produced
motors before, but I guess the addition of the motor rewind, autobracketing, and
whatver else there is must be some difficult.

My understanding was that the batteries where the big problem, however if that's
all it was I'm sure that would have been overcome by now.

As you say, with Canon, Nikon, themselves and others who have produced motors in
the past it isn't like they are inventing the wheel. Surely there is enough
brain power around to figure out how to make it work.

<<I am going to try getting up there. From what I have been reading about
Victoria, it would be a place to live once I get independent with
stock. Of course, since I have only done $700 worth of work out of ;San
Diego this year, maybe it doesn't matter already.

All I want is a small house on the water where I can keep a sailboat.
That's all. Nothing much.>>>>>>

Sure sounds good to me. :) If you pull it off as a photographer let me know. :)
Man water front here is like winning the lottery first then you look. But I have
a similar dream, besides my lottery winner is next inline. :)

As far as I'm concerned this is the best place to live in Canada as it has
everything you need and if you want more, it's a quick plane hop to the mainland
or a short ride on the ferry.

Certainly is great Leica country if one is into flowers, scenics, wildlife and
the ocean.

<<So I said, wonderful photo, but awful reproduction. He said, thankyou,
I was depressed for two days after that came out. said it was done from
a repro dupe, he'd offered to send original, they assured him it was
fine, etc. Ever heard this story???>>>>>>

Yep a few times, but rarely with material moved from MASTERFILE out of Toronto,
as they are adamant about quality when one of their images are used. As they
feel everytime a Masterfile credit is out there it is a reflection of the image
and photographer quality in their agency.

<<<Of course, I figure Luis's will know how to take great pictures
already, having so much experience!!>>>

Ya right! And don't forget I've seen the quality of your work and you don't need
any hand me downs for improvement! :)
