Jim,

I recently had a CLA (clean, lube and adjust) done to my M2. At that
time I had the synch terminal changed to the current PC connection. One
twist you might want to consider (and which I had done) is to have both
terminals connected for X synch. That way it doesn't matter which you
plug into (assuming you use electronic flash of course) because it will
always synch. The little icon on the body will be incorrect but you'll
know the difference. The downside: If you want to preserve the camera
for its collectability rather than its functionality. It's nice not
having the adapter poking me in the forehead anymore.
