Detlef: Visited Dachau last year with my wife and cousin, who is from
Munich, but never visited Dachau. What is there now gives very little
insight into what had been there. This isn't the time, nor the place,
to expound on features of the camp, except to point out that there is
a very interesting photo exhibit replete with documents and images of
the camp as it was. Worth a visit to those interested in aspects of
that time and place. The village of Dachau itself is quite lovely,
with winding streets, old buildings, and pleasant people. The
justaposition of the two in one's mind makes for unsettling moments
and reflections.
