Maybe because some people prefer the handling of Leica screwmount
body and can't find a "good" or new 28/2.8 screwmount lens.
By the way, the lens is very compact (more compact than Elmarit M
28/2.8).
It is a good idea to get a GR-1, if I can't get this Ricoh LTM.
