Do you wear glasses regularly? I do and noticed the blackout problem with
a pair of the Leica 7xsomething or other. I am still casting about for a
chance to give the 8x32 model a trial since it received a very good rating
from "Better View Desired," a fairly objective review of viewing optics
(http://www.biddeford.com/~sing/BVD.html). In the meantime, I'm stuck
with a pair of 10x42 Swarovskis which, while on the heavy side, suit my
purposes for birding well. On the other hand, something smaller with a
wider field of view would be handy for forest bird walks.
