No, the resistance to AF by both Leica and Zeiss/Kyocera is a matter of
accuracy -- neither company feels that AF yet is capable of matching the
quality of their lenses and, hence, feel that adopting AF would, in effect,
hobble their outstanding optics.  In addition, current AF technology
requires that lenses be made to have more focusing "give" than either
company is willing to accept.
