 As I posted a while back, Leica, NJ engraved a blank top-plate that I had
 acquired to replace a defaced rare M2R for a total cost of $56 plus giving
 up the old one.--- Of course it cost me $250 for the new top but came with
 all new knobs & gizmos and was part of a GSA sale of over 30 new plates
 that were made for spare M2S Leicas. I ended up with an almost new M2R.
