I must have missed something here. What do you guys have against
plastic?

The fly-by-wire(falls like a leaf if it loses electrical control) 777 I
helped design a few years ago has "plastic" tailfeathers. Now that you
know will any of you refuse to fly at 40,000 feet at close to the speed
of sound over the North Pole in the 777? And through thunder storms(I
am talking BIG lightning bolts) throttling down low over 14,000 foot
cold and snowy Longs Peak preparing to land at Denver International?

Is there no plastic in your BMWs that you four wheel drift around the
curves on 101 high above the Pacific Ocean? Or have any of you refused
to paddle off shore, way off shore, in your "plastic" kayaks, now that
seal-skin boats are out becoming more difficult to find?

Hey everybody this is 1998. Welcome to a world of new materials that
are far superior to metal for their designed purposes. Dale
