Had the early version, the lense was a good performer.  The price was right
$1,000 for an exc+ condition.  The LD 2nd and 3rd version has internal focus
and suposed to be better.  The weak link on these lenses is the mounting
system, too much slop in it.  With the 300, the body to lense seemed to have a
bit too much play physically.  It how ever performed well, just not up to
tight Leica tolerances.
