I cannot be objective about my impressions. I have had the lens for 30 =
years. All I can say that it is softer than the Summicron. I have =
never had a problem with flare. I pretty much know what to expect when =
I use it. I have never been limited (other than f stop) by the lens. =
It is much better than my photography. They are relatively cheap on the =
used market. I have never thought of selling mine. I just cleaned half =
of the eyes and it is much easier to use (I'll clean the other half when =
I figure out how to disassemble it). If I go out with one camera and =
one lens, it is the Summaron and M3.

Hopefully, someone with more experience and lenses will jump in with an =
opinion. After reading this mail list for about a year, I have pretty =
much decided that I don't need to buy the most current lens or camera. =
I am better-off knowing the lenses I have and what they will do. (I =
have never felt limited by Leica equipment...just my vision and =
implementation of photography).
