Subject: [Leica] Rare Summaron?

I saw a post buzz by a few days ago which seemed to imply that some 35mm
Summarons had become valuable. I happen to have one (S/N 1520094), eyes, red
plastic mounting-alignment dot I think, in not-badly-bunged-up but definitely
used shape. I can't imagine that the dealer I bought it from a bit over ten
years ago would've let it go for a reasonable price had it been a rarity; but
if by some chance it is artificially valuable to the non-user community I'd be
likely to get over my mild fondness for it and consider letting it bankroll
the purchase of some newer optics. Anyone prepared to share expertise in such
things?
