I like using LTM lenses on my M Leicas and am beginning to put together a
decent size collection of Canon, Leitz, Nikkor, and Russian lenses.  For
some situations I don't want to use a razor sharp modern ASPH lens.
However I have been avoiding certain Leitz lenses from the 50's due to
fogging.  I am sure they can be stripped and cleaned by a skill technician
but I have this fear that the elements may not get re-assembled properly to
their original condition.  How much work is involved in stripping, cleaning
and re-assembling a lens?  How critical is this process and is this
something to worry about?  Cheers!
