I have Summitar serial number 587658. It is definitely coated. A list I
saw suggests mfg date of 1942. (The lens performs very well, by the way.)
DOes anyone know if this lens coating is original, or added after
manufacture? If Nathan's Leica Pocketbook is right, then my lens must have
been coated after manufacture. Does anyone else have Summitars from around
this serial number to check? Just curious. -Mark Walberg
