But as for parts, I'm not sure what's still in stock. A lot of people file out their neg holder to get the black borders. The V35 is much easier to use. I prefer it to the 1C. But it has a soft light source, so you need to increase your development time in black and white to get good contrast. I personally prefer that kind of light for my negatives. And you can buy a film carrier that lets you print the black borders around the outside of your negative.
