Nathan,

Yes, it is a good value, but it is subject to more flare than newer multi-coated lenses, so be sure to use the lens hood, and avoid shooting at or near a light source.

Also, you might be interested to know that it has a wide angle of coverage, and if you remove the lens element and mount it on a lensboard you can take medium and large format images with the Hektor.
