The films that faded fast were in the 40s. By the 50s, they had started to
fix that problem. (Ektachromes too). In fact, in the 50s, one way to get
faster film (the Denver Post pioneered this) they used to process slide
film in negative chemistry. They got real contrasty pictures, but for
letterpress presses, it was acceptable.
