Dan,

Better safe than sorry.  It's just painful to think that someone might
run the risk of ruining the coating on a $1000+ Leica optic.

BTW I have found that PEC-12 will even soften film emulsion if left on
for any length of time, making it then highly susceptible to scratches.

It's important to follow the mfr's. directions exactly:  use a very
small amount, one application only, wipe off immediately.  Best to use
a microfiber cloth, like the "PEC-pads" they sell with this stuff.

Perhaps someome could locate the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for
this stuff and let us know exactly what's in there, and what risks the
user incurs.
